About The Filter Room

Created from an idea and a dream, the merging of two Hawke's Bay brewing icons was born. "The Filter Room Ale & Cider House."

Offering visitors the chance to sample and purchase a complete range of traditionally handcrafted premium ales and ciders.

Even in Hawke's Bay, an area internationally renowed for its gourmet food and drink destinations, The Filter Room Ale & Cider House stands out as a not to be missed attraction.

As a tasting venue, The Filter Room is a ground breaker, offering an imaginatively conceived presentation. A tasting tray lets customers select their own tasting range from any of the 18 beverages on tap.

We welcome group tours through the brewery as well as the tasting room. The tour lasts approximately 30 minutes and is informative and educational and explores the history of Hawke's Bay Independent Brewery and the art and passion of traditional brewing methods.
